Mission Statement

The MlSSION of the Acton Housing Authority (AHA) is to ensure an adequate supply of safe and decent housing for low and moderate income individuals and families where they can live without substantial disturbance or interference by others and to provide such housing without discrimination as to race, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ancestry, genetic information, marital status, veteran or active military status, age, familial status and source of income.

IN SUPPORT OF THIS MISSION and purpose, the AHA has the following responsibilities to the community:

  1. To expand the supply of low income housing by building and managing additional housing
  2. To take advantage of State & Federal programs to meet the community’s low income needs
  3. To serve as an information resource, advocate, and conscience regarding housing and
    housing needs
  4. To advocate for and assist the tenants/residents of AHA to achieve their independence
  5. To educate the community on housing needs & the role of the AHA in addressing these
    needs.
The Bridgewater Housing Authority was established to provide safe, decent and affordable housing opportunities in the Town of Bridgewater and we are passionate about this mission.
